I finally finished my 5th year 1st semester on last Saturday. Our semester ended with Surgery rotation. Generally, this semester was busier if compared to previous one, more clinical subjects and more important subjects. We had Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Oncology, Reanimation, Tropical disease, Infectious disease, Traumatology, Public Health, Psychiatry, Medical Psychology, Ophthalmology, Surgery. I hope I didn’t miss anything. Hehe. There are reports on each rotation, click and read some (photo available).

This week, I’m going to have study break. I will have Paediatrics Exam on this coming Saturday. The exam includes 2 theoretical questions, 1 x-ray, 1 blood analysis and 1 urine analysis. So this week, I will going to share some of my Paediatrics knowledge with you all. I guess all of you will have children in future or some of you having little children at home, or maybe planning to have one?

Today I’m going to share with you about normal/estimated Child’s neuro development.

Motor developments

2 mth         – raises chin when prone

3 mth         – hold the head erect

4 mth         – rolls from prone to supine

Surgery Rotation

After 8 days of New Year and Christmas Public Holiday, today all the students here resume their normal class again. I can tell you that, I almost late today. I cant wake up, so sleepy. What to do? Have class!!! This week is my last week of my 5th year 1st semester. Afterthat we will have final examsss..

We have our class at Kursk Regional Hospital, instructed by Professor. Seniors said he is former Marine General. Hoho.. He must be very strict. Actually no la, he is friendly and kind. He will teach you until you know.

Class finish at 12.20pm, then we straight head to Public Health department to ask about our research works. Good that, we finally finish our research and tomorrow we are going to pass up our final copy of it.

Weather today around minus 15 to minus 20. Quite cold. So I’d to walk as fast as possible.

Tomorrow topic is about Surgical Approach to Lung Cancer. As you all know Lung Cancer is top 1 cancer among Male, and getting rise in Female too. Do you know?? Smoking is the main factor of it. 1 cigarette contain lots of cancerogenic substances. Pity to those who never smoke but become a passive smoker.

Less than 1 month, it will be our Chinese New Year celebrations. How’s everyone preparation?
