Gyneacology~~

23/12/07

Last week, we were having reamination cycle, a science which teach you how to revive a patient from clinical death or emergency medicine, hoho. You have up to 45 minutes to save a ‘death’ patient, of course only in certain conditions.

It is a very interesting and ‘dilemmatic’ subject. Why i said ‘dilemmatic’? It is because that in certain condition you have make a decision within seconds, it is a decision of life and death. You’re will feel guilty not to save a life, and you might feel guilty that you revive a brain death patient. How should you do?!?!!? Sometimes, you are fighting with time, choosing a best, suitable, correct dosage drugs out from thousands, millions of them to revive a patient, any delays will cause death to patient. For example, Dopamine different dosage having different effects, how wonderful it is.

Now reamination (A&E) became compulsary rotation for all houseman, so it will be very important for all medical students or houseman to be.

We ended our cycle with presentation, our presentation mainly about Emergency care in toxicology.

Someone presenting his topic

They are concentrating on the presentation, it must be interesting

Another side of the table, they are also concentrating.

Ehem…. What happen to them?? Too bored?

Our beloved monitor presenting his ‘antidots’, each poisons having their special antidots.

Hellooooo girlss.. What are you doing? You should look at the other way not here… :P

Look at the right side, last person, she is our instructor. A Kind, Knowlegdable doctor.

Okay, that’s last week, my post title is gyneacology, why all about reamination? Am I out of topic? Hehe. This week we are going to have Gyneacology cycle with a very very interesting, challenging associated professor. Have you ever heard of a teacher/instructor/professor failed your previous paper just because of your today’s performance? Hehe, she is the ONE! She will fail your yesterday or previous topic if you answered wrongly, so think twice before you answer. And she is also the ONE who will put unsatisfactory mark in your credit book. Yea… She is the ONE! I hope she would not read my blog, if not I’m also the ONE aimed. Tomorrow class will be conducted at Municipal Hospital Valakno again, a far hospital where we had Traumatology last 2 week.

Okie, tomorrow is Christmas eve, how’s everyone preparation?

After 1 and half weeks of traumatology rotation, today we finally finish our 1st semester themes. We manage to cover dislocation and fracture down too pelvic. Next semester we are going to start with dislocation of femur and downwards. Today we had topic of fracture of Pelvic. Interesting topics. Lots of complications may arise.

After class, went to buy catridge for my printer, Thanks God because this time the computer shop there have stocks, I didn’t waste my energy to walk till there. Afterthat went to market to buy some vegetables and fruits, and candies for Christmas gifts too. My feet are freezing pain, because I only wore normal sport shoes, didn’t expect to walk so long out there. My toes are pain, yes.. very pain@!!!

So I walked very fast back home and quickly cool down my toes. Luckily didn’t get any frost bites. :P

Tonight, we were having sushi dinner again. This time i ordered different one from previous one. We finished it less than 20 minutes, it is toooo nice!!! Here are some photo for you to see.

Another Thursday

13/12/07

12 more days it will be global celebrating Christmas. How’s your preparation of Christmas gifts to your loves one? Any idea? Chocolates? Cookies? Diamonds? Ahaha.. What is the best gift for them? As for me, I think is depend on how much effort you put in, not the price or value of your gift.

Today we had class on fractures of elbow and forearms. Quite interesting topic especially one of our friend here having such fracture 3 years back in Kursk, he was treated in this hospital too. Everything remain the same, I mean the hospital. You can see how much effort the hospital admin put in to “maintain” the environment of it.

We observed a procedure for changing POP (Plaster of Paris), the patient’s social status is low, he can’t manage to buy a good one, so the nurses can only make the traditional POP. I trying to catch some photo of it, due to privacy of patient, i decided not to do so.

Thursday is my laundry day. We have our washing machine in washing machine room, a room dedicated for washing machine. Before this, we can put our washing machine just in our section, and we can wash our clothes easily. But one day, fire engineers found out a theory that washing machine might cause fire, and Rector of University asked all of us who have washing machine to move down the machine to the special room, or else fine will be compound. They even come out with a idea that a notebook might cause FIRE~!@~!~!!!…  And they recommend us to use notebook or computer only in weekends. Luckily they didn’t enforce this stupid rule, or else I’m the 1st one who moves out. :P

Let me show you some pictures of out washing machine room.

Today, we started to learn about the diagnosis, first aid, treatment, complication, x-ray presentation of fractures of shoulder joints, clavicles and humerus. It is very interesting especially subluxation of shoulder joint is among the highest in subluxation categories.

Yesterday, instructor informed us that we are going to have class on 9.30am today. We woke up early and wait for bus from 8.30am. Very weird today, very very few buses going to the place we wanted to go, if normal times, it will be lots of buses for you to select from. We waited till 9.05am, finally got the chance to take a bus to there. We left only 25 minutes before class start. Luckily the driver drove quite fast, we manage to reach there at 9.30am. Reached there, instructor asked us, why do we come at this time, our class supposed to be at 11.30am, he asked us to go back or go for a walk… WHAT???? 11.30am? go back? The journey going to take almost 1 hour to reach home… We all standed there, waited for him. Finally he came out with a idea, he opened another classroom for us and we had our lesson there. We finished our class at 12noon. Went back home and reach at around 12.45pm.

The weather today is quite normal for us around -3 degrees Celsius. No strong wind.

I’m going to upload for you several photos about the hospital i went and what were we doing in class. Sorry for the poor quality, still don’t know quite sure about the photo editing in wordpress.
